This tour is for families that want a real adventure and the time to discover a country from its deserts and mountains to coastal towns. The itinerary is designed to meet local people from having lunch with mountain villagers to trying out Arabic and making Berber bread. We also learn how to surf and use a rooftop observatory to watch the amazing starry sky in the desert. However, we have included 'comfort' style hotels to give an added element of luxury and facilities after a hard day of adventure.

An active adventure in the Moroccan wilderness exploring North Africa’s highest mountains and the world’s largest desert. We ride mules in the High Atlas and cycle the southern mountain slopes. Moroccan Magic - Family Adventure

This 1-week family trip to Morocco excitingly blends together the Atlas Mountains and the Atlantic Coast. We travel from Marrakech to spend 2 nights beneath Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Here, we spend time with the local people, learn how to bake bread Berber-style and take a walk in the hills with mule support and a tasty picnic. Heading for the pretty seaside town of Essaouira, we have time to enjoy the hotel pool, before taking a surf lesson and a walk on the Atlantic beach with camels. Back in Marrakech, our holiday ends with a lesson in Islamic calligraphy and a chance to absorb the atmosphere of the Djema el-Fna, with its snake charmers, jugglers and story tellers.

Morocco Family Holiday - Camels on the Beach

This superb family adventure holiday treks for 5 days along the coast of Morocco between Agadir and Essaouira. This stretch of the Atlantic is wild, dramatic, remote and beautiful. Camping out amongst the dunes, we enjoy ever-changing views of headlands, cliffs and endless fine sand beaches. Travelling with a team of camels and their colourful drivers, and visiting villages en route this family adventure holiday is a cultural experience as much as it is a real adventure for youngsters and parents alike. Most afternoons are free for swimming and beach games, or simply for relaxing. The holiday ends in the ancient and beautiful port of Essaouira which is a fascinating walled city where cannons still point out to sea - a reminder of the days when pirates and other raiders threatened this part of the African coast. Inside the walls of the city there is a wealth of shops and souks selling colourful djelabas and carpets, aromatic oils and spices, and hand crafted lamps and toys. Just outside the city, Essaouira's light sandy beach is becoming a famous destination for wind surfing and kite surfing enthusiasts. Les Petits Caravaniers - Family Adventure Trek

This super bi-lingual family walking holiday starts out beyond the Atlas Mountains amongst the palm-fringed oases of the Draa Valley. Here, we meet our Berber crew and their team of camels and set out on a 4-day trek on the edge of the great Sahara Desert. Travelling in the traditional way of the camel caravan, our route will take us across high sand dunes to isolated villages and rock ridge viewpoints. Sleeping out in the desert, meeting Saharan dwellers and hunting for fossils, this is an enchanting experience for the whole family. On some of our departures we are running this as a unique holiday with a mix of English and French families - a great way for youngsters to make international friends and develop or practice language skills. The holiday also includes time for sightseeing in the wonderful city of Marrakech where the evening entertainment is still provided by jugglers, acrobats and story-tellers. All the dates for this holiday match with school term breaks in different parts of the country so everyone should have the opportunity to join this special English/French family adventure.
